Slow down, stop! Breathe....
Pause...
And breathe again... 1, 2, 3... breath out... 1, 2, 3... and listen on...
So you seem to be in constant search for a new path, direction, information and knowledge that will lead you to a better life, a better body, a healthier diet, a better lifestyle. Anything to validate your worth and the list goes on.
Maybe you have forgotten that you are already complete. Right here, right now, deep inside. If you seek outside of self, maybe you will find a quick fix or gain something that you desire but if you seek within, you will find that you already are all that you need to be. Whole, pure, true.
Why do we need to validate ourselves based on what we know or learn or have? In truth it is what we can unlearn that leads us to our inner self. How you ask? With meditation!
The simplicity of meditation is this unlearning of life, an unlearning of all habits, concepts, conditioning of the busy mind and allowing yourself to just be with you - in each moment and in each breath. To just BE.
No amount of learning will lead to being unless you become the practice itself. This is the place where knowledge becomes wisdom. You become the experience, and doing becomes being.
How to begin? Just remember there is no aim in meditation, no start point, no end point, there is nothing to attain, nothing to learn, just a willingness to create some time, a space to surrender your mind and thoughts, to breathe and enter into the self. In simplicity it is a process of letting go and self discovery. We all are able to connect within, to connect to our hearts anytime, anywhere. We all have the capacity to surrender and still the mind. We just need to make a commitment to the practice, and keep practicing until we embody the practice in each step and each breath.
Now that is a commitment to self.
